Abbey Road Shanghai was born in 2007, when Swiss entrepreneur Pascale Aebi transformed a worn-down Xuhui venue into a cozy neighborhood bar with a Beatles-inspired twist. What began as a simple idea—an inviting space with a memorable name starting with “A”—became a local icon after friends suggested “Abbey Road.” Against early skepticism, Pascale’s vision thrived. After two successful years, she passed the torch to her close friend Muna Li and returned to Switzerland, where she continues her culinary journey at her countryside restaurant, Am Seeli.

Under Muna’s leadership, Abbey Road has stayed true to its original spirit—warm service, honest pricing, and quality food. The same philosophy later inspired the opening of a sister restaurant, Geneva, in Shanghai’s Gubei area. Today, Abbey Road remains a timeless gathering place where friendly faces, great music, and good food come together—proof that genuine hospitality never goes out of style.
